- Hours: Part time / Freelance (approx. 3–4 days per month, with flexibility)
- Location: Remote, with 1 day in-person per month (London)
Bold ideas need solid numbers behind them. This is more than keeping the books, it’s about helping us run smarter, stronger, and deliver business events with even greater impact.
That’s where you come in.
As Finance Manager, you’ll be part strategic partner, part safety net. The person who keeps everything ticking while spotting what’s coming round the corner.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Loves working flexibly and independently.
- Is motivated by impact, not just inputs.
- Thrives in a varied, fast-moving environment.
- Wants to be part of a purpose-led, growing business.
The Role
You’ll work directly with me (Lisa) and liaise with our small core team and external accountants to keep our financial operations sharp.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day finance: invoicing, supplier payments, chasing where needed.
- Maintaining project costing, budget tracking and reconciliations.
- Creating financial reports, cashflow forecasts, and supporting VAT returns.
- Liaising with external accountants and managing compliance.
- Setting up projects and freelancers (Xero, Harvest), drafting Statements of Work.
- Providing insight to support smarter planning and strategic growth.
What We’re Looking For
You’re likely part- or fully-qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA), confident with Excel and familiar with financial systems (Xero/Harvest a bonus). You’ve worked in dynamic environments, can juggle detail and deadlines, and are as comfortable advising on strategy as you are getting stuck into the numbers.
Practicalities
Freelance role, approx. 3–4 days/month. One in-person day/month in London.
We’re open on structure and pay for the right person.
How to Apply
If this sounds like you and you exceed the experience we require in the Job Description, email your CV and a short cover note (including your preferred hours and day rate) to me, Lisa James, at: hello@thewentworthcollective.com
